Defence Minister Yutthasak Sasiprapa said Friday he agreed with comments by a close aide to His Majesty the King opposing any move to amend Section 112 of the Criminal Code, the lese majeste law.
"I'm with Dr Sumeth Tantivejkul [on amendments to Section 112]. Don't mess with it.
"It's not our concern if we don't break the law," Gen Yutthasak said.
He refused to comment when reporters asked him about laws that protect human rights in foreign countries.
Earlier this week, the secretary general of the King's Chaipattana Foundation, Sumet Tantivejkul, said the lese majeste law would not cause any trouble for anyone who did not violate it.
