The cabinet on Tuesday approved the National
Security Council's proposal to extend the imposition of the executive
decree for administration in emergency situations in three southern
border provinces for another three months, acting government spokesman
Anusorn Iamsa-ard said.
The spokesman said an opinion survey reported that 70 per cent of the people in the three provinces wanted the emergency decree to continue to be enforced. This is the 27 extension of the decree.
The cabinet assigned the Internal Security Operations Command (Isoc) to continue to conduct the assessment of the decree's enforcement, he said.
